I’ve been involved with sporting dogs for over 50 years. I started with beagles, and was very active breeding, training, hunting and judging sanctioned SPO trials. I’ve owned 2 AKC field champions and have shipped quality females all across the county to the best National Champions in the country. I was a member of the New Scotland Beagle Club for 10 years, where I was a liaison with the AKC as a public education coordinator. My first AKC registered Lab was not only a trusted hunting partner and house companion, but an AKC Canine Good Citizen obedience titled dog, as well as a certified, Therapy Dog International, therapy dog. Cocoa was the type of Labrador Retriever that embodies what a dog should be, and anyone would be proud, and fortunate, to own. I’ve also owned a German Shorthaired Pointer, and really enjoy that breed as well. My house sits on a acre of land, complete with a fenced 25×100 outdoor run enclosing (5) 5x 10 welded wire runs. I have a 12 x26 baby barn that broods up to 500 pheasants a year, and an indoor whelping room, with an adjoining finished basement apartment (for the dogs), all located a quarter mile from my 300 acre, 2500 bird pheasant club. Please consider us, whether your needs are a new puppy. stud service for your quality females, or the occasional started dog that’s sure to please- Perry
